Castor seed is the source of castor oil. The seeds contain between 40% and 60% oil that is rich in triglycerides, mainly ricinolein. Castor oil acts as a great detoxifying, cleansing and moisturizing agent. It detoxifies by breaking up the excessive oil on the face. It cleanses by shredding off dead skin cells and by pulling out impurities from skin pores. It moisturizes and fades away the signs of aging, by diffusing its high concentration of fatty acids, on the epidermis.
